I was unavailable to update this since Friday, because I had late Christmas with the in-laws all New Years Eve weekend. As a result, I've got 3 new additions to the Backlog. Amazingly enough, only one of these was a gift to me (which means I bought the other two like an idiot). The gift was Dues Ex : Human Revolution for PC. It was on sale on Steam, and my buddy Moday bought it for me. It got good reviews, and OMGJeremy recommended it, so I guess I'm happy to add it to the pile.
The games I bought myself were purchased with a gift card I received from my parents, but since I probably should have bought clothes I can't really count them as gifts technically. I bought Final Fantasy XIII for the 360, and Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection for the PSP. I'm not really sure why I felt I needed to buy these two games-- it's not like I didn't already have loads of games to playthrough. I can almost blame FFIV as my replacement Play-At-Work selection, except that I'm still playing through FF7: Crisis Core at work right now, and have a lot left to do in that game.
In any event, this pushes my starting number for 2012 to 43 games. I'm going to need to aim to complete a game a week just to make this even close to possible. I'm not even sure I can make that happen in this first week...
