Now that my 360 is back up and running, I have a handful of games that I've already logged a good deal of time in. Assuming that I haven't totally forgotten what I'm doing in them, I should be able to clear some of these games out relatively quickly. Hopefully if I try and clear one or two of these partial games out each month, I should be able to have the time to also work on some of the longer games I've added.
The first of these games is Ms. 'Splosion Man, the sequel to 'Splosion Man, a game I finished in the first year of the Backlog. I didn't really talk about this game too much, because it's a straightforward 2d action game. Everything I said about 'Splosion Man could just be copied and pasted here, and it would be pretty much the same review. There are a few additions here and there, but they all seem to work the same (which is understandably going to be the case when you have two actions... move or explode). If anything I'd say that this game added so many things to the backgrounds of levels that it made it harder to see in parts. A good example is the levels where you jump on the moving crate destruction platforms, and each of the platforms is covered in crates that explode when you do. This made Ms. 'Sposion Man really hard to see if you have to jump immediately upon landing. Other than some cosmetic-based visual issues, I can't complain about any of the additions. This was a solid sequel to a solid game.
COMPLETION STATS :
Hours to complete : Est. 10 hours
OCD Completeness Percent Achieved : 30% (60/200 Achievements)
Outside Help Used : None. Just lots of patience.
Will I play this again? : Yes. In theory I'd like to find all the Shoes, and there's always Hardcore and Multiplayer modes.
